This is beta v1, the reason for this beta is to make sure the game remains stable as the encounters have been modified allowing more ships to be generated in the fleets also the Wicked Wench ship has been ported over and needs testing. Those who do wish to have a stable game should avoid installing this beta patch Till its been tested and given the all clear. ///////Change Log: * Damage reductions for RTBL, crew are harder to kill, sail damage is reduced as is hull damage. * Ship HP value's modified, trade ships like the Galleon, Flute etc have had their HP value lowered making them more vunrable in battle while large ships like the Battleship, MOW's etc have had their HP value's increased making them more difficult and a bigger threat. * Cost for sleeping at the tavern increased slightly. * 7 Character skill points added. * Leather and Sandlewood added as starting goods aboard your ship. * Cannon and Culverin prices reduced. * More characters gives specific starting ships and money. * Ships sorted so they appear in all files in the same order as each other. * Replced the crosshair with a new one. * Replced the deck of cards and books with HD imagies. * New compass so you can see wind direction but no radar (realistic compass remains the same as it was in previous version). * Spyglass 3, 4 and 5 edited so they will only be found on soldiers. * Spyglass textures changed to wide screen. * New interface changes, characters load out screen, nations relations icons as well as the nations shield icons and more. * Nation specific ships, we had originally the Blackpearl, Cursed Duttchmen etc for the pirates but not many ships was made spacifically for other nations. We had the odd one or two, but that was all. * Merchants on map updated, now each nations ships are specific to their nation. * All ships fixed by Hlyie Pistof added. * Fluet1 lanteen and sail fix by -------------------Hylie Pistof. * Cannon damage based around shot types modified so that each shot type has its own unique damage capabilities (chain shot good at damaging rigging, less damage to hull ok for killing crew, round shot, good for damaging hull, low for damaging rigging and moderate for killing crew, grape shot, gookd for killing crew, bad for damaging hull and rigging, bombs, good for damaging hull and crew, ok for damaging rigging. * Felipe ship updated to latest version by ---------Hylie Pistof. * 68Ibs cannons added for fort use only so can't be purchased. * Forts cannon types changed to 48, 68 and 92Ibs cannons. * 68 and 92Ibs cannons stats increased to make forts more deadly. * Item prices halved to reduce how easy it is to make money from selling lootable goods from the dead bodies. * RTBL code removed from ships_init as it was pointless been there as it wasn't been used as much as originally intended. * Damage multiplier reduced for all cannons. * Damage to hull for round shot increased. * Cannon reload times modified to balance them out more. * Movie ships moved further down the ships.h file list so they are not generated in fleets like bounty hunters and gentlemen of luck. * Speed reductions for many ships. * Ship Wicked Wench ported into GOF 2, she is a class 4 galleon. * Ship encounters updated. * Fort damage updated so the ships crew are not killed off so quickly while ship hull is damaged more (requires testing). * Fort damage increased for hulls and lowered for crew. * Shot types fine tuned to all for better balancing (note each shot type has its uses, grape shot will is better for killing crew than any other shot type, bombs are better at damaging the ships hull but require you to be much closer while round shot allows your to keep your distance and do a little less damage and knipple shot is the only shot type that will drastically damage the ship sails. ///////Fixes: * Fixed left over code from sail colour upgrade (now fully removed) tested and all upgrades work as they should. * Fixed maximum sail crew (in short this is the maximum amount of crew needed for the ship to reach top her top speed, triple the value of minimum crew to find to find the ships required crew). * Fixed crew sizes, due to the sailing crew fix all ships crew sizes have been checked and redone to account for the sailing crew changes. * Fixed some ships gunners and cannon crew value's was a little off. * Fixed RTBL value's for all ships (value's for RTBL and COAS default was the wrong way around). * Fixed merchants on map entries. * Fixed Flying Dutchman ship (was cursed dutchman). * Fixed RTBL values for Flying Dutchman. * Fixed ships hunters can use. * Fixed Humphrey Douglas Musket by -----------------Buho (thanks to BobSasZele for link to fix). * Fixed quest ship Flying Dutchmen ship stats to etter relfect those used in ships_init. * Fixed Cursed Dutchman ship (cannon bug, was missing 2 guns on either side). * Fixed ship sail hp's (was all messed up with many ships having higher value's than they should have for the ship rate they have been given). /////To Be Done: * More characters given starting ships. * Testing ships nations specific ships to make sure no errors are given from them. ///Credits * Harmsway * TheBlackKnight * Joe Dagger * Buho * BobSasZele * Hylie Pistof
